Emma Murowinski is an Implementation Specialist at Helm Operations with an extensive and versatile background in physical oceanography, marine instrumentation, high tech education, and shipboard research and exploratory operations. She holds a master’s degree in physical oceanography from the University of Victoria and a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from Acadia University.
During her tenure at the University of Victoria, and while working as a professional oceanographer at Rockland Scientific International, Emma developed considerable skills in the fields of data analysis, experiment design, and high tech education. Emma’s scientific experience includes acting as the lead scientific investigator aboard the Ocean Tracking Network offshore research cruise to study the physical oceanographic behaviour in Cumberland Sound, and providing turbulence measurement and analysis mentorship to scientists and researchers from across the globe.
Today, Emma leverages her sweeping experience to design and deliver customized software implementations for the maintenance, compliance, and inventory management of enterprise-level inland tug and barge fleets. Recently, Emma has championed and begun developing new data-driven reporting capabilities within the Helm CONNECT software to support her clients in making data-driven business intelligence decisions based on the information generated by their fleets.
